Violinist Alena Baeva performs as soloist and conductor of the Central Ostrobothnia Chamber Orchestra. She is a regular soloist with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.

The programme features Elfrida Andrée's Andante quasi recitativo, Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in D minor MWV O 3, and Jean Sibelius' Humoresques nos. 3 & 4 in string orchestra arrangement. The concert concludes with Edvard Grieg's String Quartet in G minor in string orchestra arrangement (arr. A. Årdal).
