Seminaarinmäki - History and Architecture - Guided Walk

Seminaarinmäki at the University of Jyväskylä is a culturally significant site of national importance, with a history stretching back to 1863 when Finland's first teacher training college was established there. The walk showcases buildings designed by Constantin Kiseleff, Alvar Aalto, and Arto Sipinen. The guide is campus guide Mikko Jäkälä.

The walk takes place twice: 16.6. at 10-11.30 and 17.8. at 17-18.30. The starting point is Seminaarinkatu 15, in front of the University Library's Lähde building. The walk lasts 1.5 hours and costs 10 € / person. The walk is conducted in Finnish.

Note: The walk is not accessible - Seminaarinrinne is steep and the route includes cobblestone paving and stairs. The organizer reserves the right to make changes to the walk's content and route.
