Mertsina Wine Evening

Mertsina Wine Evening takes place on 2.9.2026 at Restaurant Ilves. The host is Juhani Merimaa, the long-time managing director of Tavastia Club, who is also known as a passionate wine enthusiast. The evening's theme will be announced later.

During the evening, each taster evaluates the wines according to their own taste, and at the end, participants vote based on the scores to select the evening's winning wine and draw a surprise prize. Participation in the discussion is welcome but optional. The wines are accompanied by charcuterie, cheese, bread, and other small savoury bites - if you have any special dietary requirements, you can notify the restaurant in advance at info@ravintolailves.fi.

The evening starts at 17:30 and lasts approximately two hours, after which you can stay at Ilves to continue. The price is 49 €, which includes tasting portions, small savoury dishes, and the programme.

The event has limited capacity and seating is arranged on a communal seating basis: members of the same party are seated together when possible, but for example two pairs can be seated at the same four-person table.
