Anu Kangas: Green Whistle

Anu Kangas (anu_abstract) presents a series of five paintings that explore momentariness and lightness. The works are dominated by green, which acts as a bridge between nature, growth, and rest - an organic movement that flows freely yet deliberately through the paintings.

The exhibition draws from a natural phenomenon: wind moves silently when flowing freely, but produces sound when it encounters a branch, a needle, or a sharp stone. This invisible vibration - a whistle - is the moment when energy takes form. In the works, this same phenomenon becomes a visual force: deeply calming shapes and wild, energetic colours coexist, like nature's unstoppable growth or a sudden whistle in the air.

The exhibition is on view at Rikhardinkadun Library in Helsinki.
