About

Apulanta is a Finnish punk and alternative rock band from Heinola, founded in 1991 by Toni Wirtanen (vocals, guitar), Sipe Santapukki (drums) and Sami Lehtinen (bass - later replaced by Ville Mäkinen). Since their breakthrough in the mid-1990s, the band has topped the Finnish charts with almost every album and single they have released, making them one of the most enduring acts in Finnish rock history. Their catalogue spans over 13 studio albums, and their live shows - including a landmark 2024-2025 collaboration with Sinfonia Lahti - have drawn tens of thousands of fans.
