About

Aynur Doğan (born 1975, Çemişgezek, Turkey), known simply as Aynur, is a Kurdish singer who has spent over two decades bringing the centuries-old oral traditions of Kurdish folk music to international audiences. She blends those roots with Western instrumentation and has collaborated with artists ranging from cellist Yo-Yo Ma to flamenco guitarist Javier Limón. Her work has earned her the WOMEX Artist Award (2021) and the Master of Mediterranean Music Award from Berklee College of Music (2017), and she has appeared in landmark films such as Fatih Akın's Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul.

    Aynur completed her first-ever UK tour in spring 2026, with dates in Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Dublin and London's Barbican Hall, in support of her 2024 album Rabe.
