Behemoth is a Polish black/death metal band from Gdańsk, formed in 1991. The group is fronted by vocalist and guitarist Nergal, and their sound blends the brutality of death metal with black metal atmosphere. Their 2014 album "The Satanist" is widely regarded as a landmark record in extreme metal.
