About

Callisto is a post-metal band from Turku, Finland, active since 2001. Their 2006 album Noir - blending atmospheric sludge, mellotron, saxophone and flute - is widely regarded as one of the finest records in Finnish heavy music. The debut True Nature Unfolds (2004) was recorded by the late Mieszko Talarczyk of Nasum and reached international audiences through Earache Records, and the band has since toured across Europe, the UK and North America.
