Christopher Lloyd (born October 22, 1938, in Stamford, Connecticut) is an American actor whose career spans more than five decades on stage, film and television. He is best known as the wild-haired inventor Doc Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy (1985-1990) and as Reverend Jim Ignatowski in the sitcom Taxi (1978-1983), roles that earned him three Primetime Emmy Awards. His other iconic parts include Uncle Fester in The Addams Family films and Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988).
Lloyd reunited with his Taxi co-star Carol Kane for a guest appearance in season 2 of the NBC sitcom Happy's Place, airing December 19, 2025.

Lloyd attended the Roundabout Theatre Company's 2025 Gala in New York on March 10, 2025, to celebrate Taxi co-star Danny DeVito.
