Colin Firth (born 10 September 1960, Grayshott, Hampshire) is an English actor and producer whose career spans stage, television and film. He broke through as Mr Darcy in the BBC's 1995 Pride and Prejudice, then won the Academy Award, a Golden Globe and two BAFTAs for The King's Speech (2010). His films have grossed over $3 billion worldwide, and in 2011 he was appointed CBE for services to drama.
