Courtney Love is an American singer-songwriter and actress who rose to prominence in the 1990s as the frontwoman of grunge band Hole. The band's album Live Through This (1994) is widely regarded as one of the defining rock records of the decade. She has also acted in films, notably The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996).
