Dallapé-orkesteri is a Helsinki-based entertainment orchestra founded in 1925 by Martti Jäppilä, widely regarded as the most significant ensemble in Finnish popular music history and the longest continuously active entertainment orchestra in Europe. Its 1930s golden era - led by Georg Malmstén and featuring accordion virtuoso Viljo Vesterinen and a young Olavi Virta - defined the sound of Finnish dance music for generations. Since 2010 the 11-piece orchestra has been led by singer and saxophonist Juha Hostikka, who has steered it back to its pre-war swing style. In 2025 the orchestra celebrated its centenary with a nationwide concert tour and the release of the album Go Go.
Dallapé performed a free outdoor concert at Laikunlava in Tampere on 12 August 2025 as part of Kulttuuritalo Laikku's own centenary programme.
The orchestra's 100th-anniversary season peaked with a headline concert at Helsinki Festival (Huvila tent), featuring guest soloists Maria Ylipää and the Ikonen sisters.
The centenary album Go Go (13 tracks) was released on 12 February 2025, the orchestra's first studio album since Matkalla Timbuktuun in 2013.
The jubilee concert tour opened at Tapiola Hall in Espoo on 8 March 2025, followed by dates in Tampere and Kuopio.
A Seura magazine feature (March 2025) highlighted the orchestra's survival through wars and the pandemic, calling it Europe's oldest entertainment orchestra.
