Deadlock (1970) is a West German cult film directed by Roland Klick, blending crime thriller and spaghetti western into a bleak desert trip. A wounded small-time crook wanders into an abandoned mining village carrying a bag of cash, and the lives of its last remaining inhabitants unravel from there. The soundtrack is by krautrock band CAN, and the film has been praised by Quentin Tarantino and Alejandro Jodorowsky.
