Eternal Erection is a Finnish funk band founded in Helsinki in 1994, led by singer and keyboardist Sam "Rick Lover" Huber. Their sound - which they call "Finnish Forest Funk" - is rooted in the p-funk of George Clinton and the soul of James Brown, drawing in pop, hip hop, rock and jazz along the way. The seven-piece has toured internationally, opened for George Clinton's P-Funk All Stars, and released six studio albums over a career spanning three decades.
Eternal Erection released their comeback single "Not So Pretty (Emperor's New Clothes)" in October 2025, produced by Mamba Assefa, marking their return after a seven-year hiatus.
The band headlined the sold-out Funky Elephant Festival at Korjaamo in Helsinki on November 1, 2025, celebrating both their 30th anniversary and the festival's return after eight years.
The band announced "The Return Of The Funk" tour across nine Finnish cities starting February 2026, previewing a new album expected in spring 2026.
Eternal Erection is scheduled to perform at G Livelab Tampere on October 30, 2026.
