Heikki Veikko Harma (born 20 April 1947 in Helsinki), known as Hector, is a Finnish singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been active since 1965. He is widely regarded as one of the founding figures of Suomirock - his 1974 album Hectorock I broke Finnish sales records, and songs like "Lumi teki enkelin eteiseen" and "Mandoliinimies" have become permanent fixtures of Finnish popular culture. Beyond his own catalogue, he has translated works by artists ranging from Neil Young to King Crimson into Finnish, and written lyrics for numerous other Finnish performers.
Yle Areena released a ten-part audio drama 'Hector - Asfalttiprinssin tie' on 11 November 2025, with actor Kristo Salminen portraying Hector from childhood to his arena-tour years.
Hector performed at Helsinki's Kasarmitori as part of the Kesä'24 Live tour with his Power Band, presenting hits spanning six decades.
Finnish media reported that Hector, now 79, is preparing a return to live stages while also celebrating 60 years as a performing artist.
