Rylos, Hootenanny Freaks
Finnish hard rock band Rylos and Hootenanny Freaks from Kotka perform at Semifinal. Rylos is known for their international shows, while Hootenanny Freaks plays original songs and rock classics.
Hootenanny Freaks is a hard rock band from Kotka, Finland, founded in January 1997 by drummer Marko Kuurne and bassist Marko Leino. The band plays its own material alongside classic rock from the 1970s and 80s, and has released two full-length albums - Freakshow (2019) and Eyes of the Warrior (2021) - plus several singles. Over nearly three decades they have shared stages with acts such as Michael Monroe, Leningrad Cowboys and Amorphis.
The band's official website posted an update on 1 January 2026, indicating continued activity and upcoming shows.
The band released a live music video of their own song 'Eileen', recorded at a summer 2024 show.
To mark their 25th anniversary, the band released a double single '25th Anniversary Edition' featuring new vocalist Arttu Kettunen.
