Jouni Kalervo Hynynen (born 15 February 1970 in Joutseno) is the vocalist, guitarist and primary lyricist of Kotiteollisuus, a heavy metal and hard rock band from Lappeenranta that he co-founded in 1991. Under his creative lead the band has released 18 studio albums, earned two Emma awards and built a reputation as one of Finland's most enduring metal acts. Beyond music, Hynynen has published eight books ranging from column collections to poetry, and has appeared on Finnish television.
