Kateryna Pavlenko (born 1988, Nizhyn) is a Ukrainian singer, composer and folklorist who led the electro-folk band Go_A from 2012 until stepping back in 2025 to focus on her solo project Monokate. With Go_A she represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2021 with 'Shum', finishing 5th overall and 2nd in the public vote - the first Ukrainian-language song to chart on the Billboard Global 200 and Spotify's Global Viral 50. As Monokate she has shifted toward atmospheric trip-hop and indie pop, releasing her debut EP 'Polovyna mene' in October 2025.
Monokate released the single 'TYT' in 2026, her Eurovision 2026 Vidbir entry, where she finished 6th in the final.
Suspilne included Monokate in the 15-act long list for Ukraine's Eurovision 2026 national selection (Vidbir) on November 24, 2025.
Monokate released her debut EP 'Polovyna mene' (5 tracks, featuring Palindrom and Sheetel) on October 24, 2025, preceded by the lead single 'Pakhnesh' on October 17.
Kateryna Pavlenko made her live debut as Monokate at the Atlas Festival in Kyiv on July 20, 2025, announcing she was stepping back from Go_A to focus on her solo career.
Pavlenko released 'Vorozhyla' as Monokate on August 24, 2023 - a soundtrack to the Ukrainian film Dovbush, in which she also acted.
