Kirsi Máret Paltto is a Sami artist from Utsjoki, now based in Inari. Her work explores Sami traditional worldviews and spirituality, as well as themes of estrangement and return. She combines duodji craft materials - burl wood, bone and horn - with industrial elements such as rusted steel in her sculptures and installations.
