koira is a Finnish alternative rap artist and producer from Tampere, who broke through in 2023 when the satirical single "käpy" went viral on TikTok. Self-producing most of his output, he blends underground rap with experimental and electronic sounds in a way that sits well outside the Finnish mainstream. He is part of the D1vari collective, which launched its own record label in 2025.
koira released the Boris Aspen mixtape exclusively on SoundCloud on June 10, 2025, describing the release as a nod to his SoundCloud roots.
koira is currently working on his second full-length album, which he says will sound different from the EDM-leaning First Class Loser.
D1vari collective, of which koira is a member, launched its own record label in July 2025, releasing music by koira, Nonexx, D1 Dani and Rosluv.
koira's debut album First Class Loser was released on May 16, 2025, consisting of 11 tracks with a runtime of approximately 30 minutes.
koira performed at Blockfest's Street Stage in Tampere in August 2024 alongside the D1vari collective, drawing a larger crowd than expected.
