About
Lacuna Coil is an Italian gothic metal band from Milan, active since 1994 and known for the interplay between vocalist Cristina Scabbia's melodic singing and Andrea Ferro's aggressive delivery. Their 2002 album Comalies broke them internationally, and subsequent records like Karmacode and Dark Adrenaline placed them in the upper reaches of the Billboard 200. Now on their tenth studio album, Sleepless Empire (2025), the band continues to push into heavier metalcore territory while keeping the dual-vocal dynamic that defines their sound.
