Leverage is a Finnish heavy rock band founded in Jyväskylä in 2002 by guitarist Tuomas Heikkinen, who has remained the band's main songwriter throughout its history. Their debut album Tides (2006) drew attention in melodic hard rock circles at home and abroad, and the Spinefarm-released Circus Colossus (2009) reached position 27 on the Finnish charts. After a long hiatus and the passing of vocalist Kimmo Blom in 2022, the band rebuilt around Italian singer Paolo Ribaldini and violinist Lotta-Maria Heiskanen, releasing their sixth album Gravity via Frontiers Music in June 2025.
Leverage released their sixth studio album Gravity on June 20, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl, featuring the renewed Mark 3 lineup.
The band celebrated the Gravity release with a concert at On The Rocks in Helsinki on June 26, 2025, performing the new album in full alongside tribute songs for the late Kimmo Blom.
Leverage released Tales of the Night as the third single from Gravity, described as dealing with grief, compassion and survival.
Leverage announced Gravity with the single Shooting Star and an accompanying music video, released via Frontiers Music Srl.
Gravity was recorded at Studio Tauko in Espoo and mixed at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki between July and November 2024.
