M is the stage name of Lahti-based singer-songwriter Minja Koski, born in Kuhmo in 1982. Since her debut album Tehtaantyttö (2017) - which Soundi awarded five stars and MTV named the best Finnish album of the year - she has released five solo records that blend electropop with folklore and lyrical storytelling. Her albums have earned Emma and Teosto Award nominations, and live she performs as a five-piece band that mixes electronic and acoustic textures without backing tracks.
Mustarastaat tulivat (2024) was nominated for the Emma Award in the Critics' Choice category at the March 2025 ceremony.
Koski released Göstan parhaat together with singer Mikael Saari and the Lumos string quartet on 6 September 2024.
