Maustetytöt is a Finnish indie pop duo formed by sisters Anna and Kaisa Karjalainen, originally from Vaala. Active since 2017, the duo blends melancholic pop with laconic Finnish schlager and sharp, everyday-realist lyrics - a combination that earned them the Emma Awards for Rock of the Year and Band of the Year in 2020. They gained significant international attention after appearing in Aki Kaurismäki's Cannes-winning film Fallen Leaves (2023), with The New York Times calling them "an impossibly cool modern Finnish duo".
