Mick Barr is a New York-based guitarist and composer active since the mid-1990s, best known as a co-founder of the experimental black metal band Krallice and as the sole force behind his solo project Ocrilim. His playing - built on extreme-speed, densely layered tremolo figures - sits at the crossroads of avant-garde metal and free improvisation, and has earned him a grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. Across nearly 100 releases spanning Krallice, Orthrelm, Ocrilim and a string of other projects, Barr has built a body of work that resists easy genre labels.
Krallice released their 16th studio album Scour Order as a double LP on September 18, 2026 via Profound Lore Records.
Krallice announced their first-ever European tour, running October 8 through November 7, 2026, opening in Helsinki.
Krallice shared the single 'Living Useless Ritual' ahead of Scour Order, marking their return to Profound Lore Records.
Scour Order was commissioned by and first performed in full at Roadburn Festival 2026.
Ocrilim reissued the early recording Nalvt Twelon on Bandcamp, originally recorded in 2004.
