Monokate is the solo project of Ukrainian singer, composer and folklorist Kateryna Pavlenko (born 1988, Nizhyn), best known as the lead vocalist of electro-folk band Go_A, which represented Ukraine at Eurovision 2021 with 'Shum' and finished in the top five. Where Go_A blends Ukrainian folk traditions with driving electronic beats, Monokate moves in a different direction - alternative indie pop with a cinematic, introspective feel. Her debut album Polovina mene (Half of Me) was released in November 2025.
Monokate held her first large-scale solo concert at Origin Stage in Kyiv on 10 April 2026.
Monokate performed a showcase at Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) in Groningen, joined on stage by members of SLOW PILOT.
Monokate released her debut album Polovina mene (Half of Me), presented live at Atlas Club in Kyiv on 1 November 2025.
Monokate released the single 'Paxnesh', the first track from her debut album.
Pavlenko competed as Monokate in Ukraine's Vidbir 2026 national Eurovision selection with the song 'TYT', finishing sixth out of ten.
