Jyrki "Muddy" Manninen (born 14 November 1957, Helsinki) is a Finnish blues-rock guitarist best known as a founding member of Gringos Locos, the late-1980s hard rock band that signed a seven-album deal with Polygram and toured with Status Quo at Wembley Arena. From 2004 to 2017 he served as lead guitarist in the British veteran band Wishbone Ash, appearing on four studio albums and touring the world at a pace of over 150 shows a year. Since leaving Wishbone Ash he has released two solo albums - Long Player (2017) and River Flows (2020) - and continued working as a session and guest musician.
Manninen appeared as a featured guitarist on a single by Marcus Malone and Pete Feenstra titled 'Take Your Time'.
Manninen contributed guitar to the album 'Black Pearl' by Marcus Malone and Pete Feenstra, appearing on multiple tracks.
Manninen released his second solo album 'River Flows', featuring guest musicians connected to Free, Bad Company, Christie, Gringos Locos and Saxon.
Manninen released his debut solo album 'Long Player' after parting ways with Wishbone Ash, where he had served as guitarist since 2004.
Gringos Locos reformed without Ben Granfelt and released their fourth album 'Second Coming of Age'.
