Napalm Death are an English grindcore and death metal band formed in Meriden, West Midlands, in 1981. Widely credited with defining the grindcore genre, they built their sound on blast beats, down-tuned guitars and ferociously short songs - their track "You Suffer" holds a Guinness World Record as the shortest recorded song. Across 16 studio albums and over four decades of relentless touring, the band has remained one of extreme metal's most influential and active forces. The current lineup is vocalist Barney Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist John Cooke and drummer Danny Herrera.
