American noise rock duo Wolf Eyes performs at Ääniwalli. The Michigan band blends noise rock, industrial, and hardcore in a distinctive style.
Nate Young is a Detroit-based musician and the founder of Wolf Eyes, the noise group he started as a solo project in Michigan in 1996. Alongside John Olson, he has steered the band through hundreds of releases on labels ranging from Sub Pop to Third Man Records, making Wolf Eyes one of the defining acts of the American underground noise scene. As a solo artist, Young has pursued a parallel path through industrial and experimental electronics, most notably in his long-running Regression series, which draws on Italian library music and musique concrète.
Wolf Eyes announced a North American spring tour kicking off April 29 in Oberlin, OH, and running through May 31 in Lakewood, OH, including a Canadian date in Toronto.
Wolf Eyes completed a South American tour in December 2025, playing dates in Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires.
Wolf Eyes toured Europe in April 2025, with dates in Prague, Paris, Belgrade and Gothenburg, among other cities.
Wolf Eyes collaborated with Washington D.C. duo Model Home on the album 'More Difficult Messages', released July 2023.
Young and Olson co-founded Lower Floor Music, an imprint of Warp Records, in 2016.
