Pirkko Mannola (born 27 December 1938, Sääksmäki) is a Finnish actress and singer who first came to public attention when she was crowned Miss Finland in 1958 - a title that opened the door to a career spanning eight decades. She has appeared in more than 50 films and television productions, recorded over 40 singles in Finnish, Swedish and German, and built an equally strong reputation on the theatre stage. In the early 1960s she also broke through in West Germany under the name Pirko Manola, performing alongside singer Wyn Hoop and competing in the German Eurovision selection.
