Rob Kloet (born 16 June 1952, Amsterdam) is a Dutch drummer and percussionist, best known as a founding member of the art-pop group Nits, which he has been part of without interruption since 1974. Together with singer Henk Hofstede, he is one of only two members who have stayed with the band from the very beginning - a run of over fifty years and more than 25 studio albums. Beyond Nits, Kloet has released solo work, composed music for theatre and television, and collaborated with artists ranging from Swiss percussionist Fritz Hauser to the children's music project Glimp.
Nits have announced Finnish tour dates for September 2026, with concerts in Tampere, Helsinki and Turku.
A new Nits album is expected in 2026, alongside Dutch concert dates.
Nits released the mini-album 'Tree House Fire' on 19 January 2024, inspired by the 2022 fire that destroyed their Amsterdam studio De Werf.
Nits marked their 50th anniversary with the NIT50 European tour, with sold-out shows in Amsterdam and Brussels.
A podcast series 'Dial Nits', featuring Rob Kloet alongside Henk Hofstede and Robert Jan Stips, was released to mark the band's 50-year career.
