Sami Yaffa (born Sami Lauri Takamäki, 4 September 1963 in Espoo) is a Finnish bassist who co-founded Hanoi Rocks in 1980 - the first Finnish rock band to break through internationally. After the band dissolved following drummer Razzle's death in 1984, he went on to play with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and the New York Dolls, and has been the bassist in Michael Monroe's band since 2010. Beyond music, he hosted the YLE TV series Sami Yaffa - Sound Tracker (2014-2016), which won two Golden Venla awards, and published his memoir The Road Bends.
