Sigga-Marja Magga is a doctor of philosophy and docent who leads the Giellagas Institute at the University of Oulu, Finland's only university institute dedicated to Sámi culture and languages. Her research focuses on Sámi handicraft traditions - duodji - and questions of Sámi cultural heritage.
