Silent Scream is a Helsinki-based post-punk trio - Antti Lautala, Matthew Pallasoja and Jukka Laine - formed in 2009 from the remains of goth-rock band Varjo after the accidental death of co-founder Henry Waldén. Drawing on early Killing Joke, Amebix and classic death-rock, the band has released four studio albums and toured across Finland, Germany, the UK, Russia and Estonia. Lautala is also known as a founding member of Apulanta.
The band's fourth studio album, 'Side Effects for Two', was released by Bat-Cave Productions in August 2024.
'Side Effects for Two' was made available digitally on 31 May 2024, eight years after the previous album 'Carrion Screaming'.
The band played at the Return to the Batcave event in Helsinki on 8 March 2025.
