Soilwork is a melodic death metal band from Helsingborg, Sweden, founded in 1995 by Björn "Speed" Strid and Peter Wichers. Signed to Nuclear Blast, they have released twelve studio albums and are widely regarded as one of the defining acts of the Swedish melodeath scene. Their 2002 album Natural Born Chaos brought them international recognition, and they have since toured alongside acts such as Arch Enemy, In Flames and Lamb of God.
Soilwork revealed they have more than one album's worth of new material written and plan to self-produce the follow-up to Övergivenheten at guitarist Simon Johansson's studio.
Soilwork were announced as support act on Amon Amarth's 28-date European and UK 'The Allfather Awakens' tour in autumn 2026, alongside Orbit Culture.
Soilwork released the single 'Spirit of No Return' on Nuclear Blast, marking the official addition of guitarist Simon Johansson as a full band member.
Soilwork served as special guests on the 'Rising from the North' European arena tour co-headlined by Arch Enemy and In Flames, playing 25 shows between October and November 2024.
