Steve Conte is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter from New York City, best known as the lead guitarist of the New York Dolls (2004-2010) and a long-standing member of Michael Monroe's band. Beyond rock, he has built a cult following through vocal collaborations with composer Yoko Kanno on anime soundtracks including Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain. His 2024 solo album The Concrete Jangle, released on Little Steven Van Zandt's Wicked Cool Records, features five co-writes with XTC's Andy Partridge.
