Sudden Lights is a Latvian indie pop-rock band from Riga, formed in 2012 by four childhood friends - vocalist Andrejs Reinis Zitmanis, guitarist Kārlis Matīss Zitmanis, drummer Mārtiņš Matīss Zemītis and bassist Kārlis Vārtiņš. The band won the Latvian national selection Supernova 2023 with the song "Aijā" and went on to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. Their fourth studio album "Īsas vasaras, garas ziemas" (Short Summers, Long Winters) came out in May 2025, and in November that year the band played their biggest concert to date at the Riga Arena.
Sudden Lights released the single "it drives me (out of my mind)" on 27 February 2026, a collaboration with Estonian musician NOËP.

The band released their fourth studio album "Īsas vasaras, garas ziemas" (Short Summers, Long Winters) on 22 May 2025.
Sudden Lights toured Estonia in October 2025, performing in Tallinn on 3 October and in Tartu on 4 October.
In February 2025, Sudden Lights released the single "Lai tev apnīk skumt" (So You Get Tired of Being Sad), the third single from their upcoming fourth album.
