Zucchero (born Adelmo Fornaciari, 1955) is an Italian singer-songwriter widely credited as the father of Italian blues, having brought the genre to mainstream stages in Italy from the mid-1980s onward. His soulful voice and blend of blues, rock and gospel earned him collaborations with Miles Davis, Luciano Pavarotti, Eric Clapton and Paul Young, and over 60 million records sold worldwide. He is one of the very few European blues artists to sustain genuine international success across four decades.
