Pride Month at Museo Leikki

Museo Leikki is Helsinki Pride's community partner this year as well. Throughout June, the museum celebrates Pride Month with rainbow-themed workshops, queer-guided tours, the "Little Rainbow Mornings" event, and a drag course for young people called "Doll Up". The programme is included in the admission ticket price, unless otherwise stated.

Pride Month special programme:

Fri 5.6. Little Rainbow Mornings 9 am - 12 pm
June's morning programme for young children offers rainbow art, storytelling sessions, and cuddles with a comfort toy. A drag artist leads the storytelling sessions.

Wed 24.6. Doll Up - Drag Show 6:30 pm - 9 pm
This year's Pride theme is Freedom to Grow. The evening features performances by young people who participated in Museo Leikki's drag course as well as drag artists Mealworm, Måns, and Regina von Totenschmürz. As part of the event, you can make pins and visit the exhibitions. Advance ticket booking required; under 18 free, otherwise the museum's regular admission price.

Pride Month weekly programme:

Every day: Unicorn Hunt non-stop - the museum is filled with unicorns shimmering in rainbow colours, waiting to be found.

Tuesdays 2 pm - 4 pm: Rainbow Jewellery Workshop - create a colourful bracelet for your Pride look.

Wednesdays 2 pm - 4 pm: Rainbow Flag Workshop - craft your own rainbow flag from fabric. Colourful fabrics provided by Vallila Interior.

Wednesdays 5:30 pm: Queer-Guided Tour (note: Wed 25.6. at 3:30 pm) - explore the "Leikin laboratorio" exhibition through the lens of gender and sexual diversity.

Saturdays 11 am - 1 pm: Rainbow Decoration Workshop - create a colourful rainbow decoration.

Sundays 11 am - 1 pm: Unicorn Workshop - shape a unicorn from fondant and baking decorations. Materials provided by Dr. Oetker.

Tickets: 15 € adults, 7 € discount groups, 5 € children 2-17 years, 0 € under 2 years and museum card holders.
