Pride Month at Museo Leikki

Museo Leikki is Helsinki Pride's community partner again this year! The museum celebrates Pride Month throughout June with rainbow-themed workshops, queer-guided tours, Little Rainbow Mornings, and the youth Doll Up drag course. The highlight of Pride Month is the Doll Up Drag Show on Wednesday, June 24, featuring performances by students from Museo Leikki and Abysmalin drag courses as well as experienced drag artists. The programme is included in the admission ticket price, unless otherwise stated.

Pride Month special programme:

Fri, June 5. Little Rainbow Morning 9 am-12 pm

June's Little Morning celebrates Pride Month with a colourful programme. Expect rainbow painting, storytelling sessions, and cuddles with the comfort bear Lohtu. Come paint in all the colours of the rainbow, hug Lohtu the bear, and enjoy storytelling sessions led by a drag artist!

Wed, June 24. Doll Up Drag Show 6:30 pm-9 pm

Welcome to a unique drag evening at Museo Leikki! This year's Pride theme is Freedom to Grow, and the evening will feature performances by young people who participated in Museo Leikki's drag course as well as drag artists Mealworm, Måns, and Regina von Totenschmürz.

During the event, you can also make pins and visit Museo Leikki's exhibitions. Advance ticket sales; under 18 free, otherwise museum admission price.

Unicorn Treasure Hunt non-stop
Sweet rainbow-coloured unicorn ponies have escaped from Museo Leikki's exhibition. Can you find the escaped pony criminals?

Tuesdays:

2 pm-4 pm Rainbow Bracelet Workshop
Let your rainbow shine! In the workshop, you can make a colourful bracelet to complete your Pride Month look.

Wednesdays:

2 pm-4 pm Rainbow Flag Workshop
Wave that rainbow flag! In the workshop, you can make a fabric flag that you can decorate with fabric scraps to create your own rainbow flag. Included in the museum's admission price. Colourful fabrics for the workshop are provided by Vallila Interior.
