Staged Story - Summer Course for Children 7-12 Years (FULLY BOOKED)

The course explores media literacy through media art and performance art: what it means, how reality is constructed, and how to tell if something is true. Course participants plan and write a script together for a performance, rehearse it, and film it as a finished video work.

During the course, participants learn the main stages of creating a performance - set design, costumes, filming, and video editing using simple editing software. Acting and performance are practiced through physical exercises and play. The finished video works are shared with participants at the end of the course. Recorded materials are not used or kept after the course, and participation requires permission to film for the stated purpose.

The course is designed for children 7-12 years old and requires no prior knowledge. Meals are not included, so children should bring their own food and a water bottle. The instructors are art educators Andra Sarenius and Saban Ramadani. Language: Finnish, English if needed.
