Welcome to Härö Island on Helsinki Day!

The family nature and art festival offers plenty to see and experience in the archipelago's natural surroundings. The ferry to Härö is free throughout the event. Free ferry service to Härö begins at 13.30.

Härö Island is located off Kajvopark. The ferry departs from Ullanlinnakajen (Ehrenströmintie 3) and takes just a few minutes to reach the island. Join nature excursions, participate in guided tours and art workshops! No advance registration required. A pop-up cafe operates in Galleria Lennättimen, accepting MobilePay and cash. Härö burgers, drinks and sweet treats are on the menu.

Please note that you cannot reach the island by private boat, and dogs must be left at home. Movement on the island is restricted during the bird nesting season.

NATURE CENTRE EXCURSIONS AND GUIDED TOURS

Excursions start in front of the nature house. The nature centre's information points offer guidance throughout the event. Guided mini-island adventure, 45 min, at 14.15 and 16.15 (Finnish + English). Guided history and cultural nature walk, 45 min, at 14.30 and 16.30 (English). Guided down-feather tour, 45 min, at 15 and 17. Meet the Roskaton Helsinki mascot gull in front of the nature house at 15, 16 and 17. Explore the nature house's archipelago nature exhibition and examine plankton under a microscope. Nature evening - a biologist is on duty in front of the nature house. Immerse yourself in the underwater world at Storyhouse Vellamo through play. Explore the Baltic Sea's underwater world at the brackish water aquariums at Aquarium House.

HÄRÖ ARTISTS' WORKSHOPS AND PROGRAMME

Workshops are guided from the Artists' House. A guide is present in Galleria Lennättimen. Sea, art and island - a tour of Härö Artists' House with intuitive drawing under the guidance of sculptor Aleksi Remsu. The tour takes approximately 30 minutes. Departure from the Artists' House main entrance at 14.30 and 16.30. 15 people / tour. Make your own reed pen.
