Welcome Day Vuotalo — Vuotalo, Helsinki
Free entry

Welcome Day greets newly arrived residents and welcomes them to Helsinki!

This year, as part of the Helsinki Day programme, new city residents get the chance to learn about their neighbourhood's services, hobbies and leisure activities.

During Welcome Day, the city's services and associations organising leisure activities present their work and answer residents' questions. The event offers the public useful information as well as inspiring circus performances from Circus Simon and Säilättäret, plus a glitter tattoo station.

We speak English during Welcome Day, and we also provide interpretation as needed. The event is free and requires no registration.

The event takes place outdoors in front of Vuotalo. Please note this when choosing your clothes. In heavy rain, the event moves indoors to Vuotalo.

Besides the Welcome Day service desk, the public can enjoy Vuotalo's Helsinki Day concerts, featuring the children's music group INDABA and Stig. You're also welcome to join the library's lego workshop and Vuotalo's guided tour. All of today's programme is free!

3.45 pm and 5.30 pm Circus Simon: We Are the Champions circus performance

We Are the Champions is a joyful and interactive circus performance about achievements, participation and shared success. The show combines unique circus arts, warm humour and strong interaction with the audience. You don't need to speak the language to enjoy the performance.

The show runs twice during the afternoon. Plus, the public can enjoy the Freestyle football workshop!
