Book foreword: Kimi Räikkönen
The book is published in Finnish and English; the release event is in English.
In 2026, it will be 40 years since the first Hungarian Formula 1 Grand Prix. Already in the very first race on 10 August 1986, a Finnish driver was on the starting grid: Keke Rosberg. Since then, there have been only a few years when a Finnish driver was not competing in the Hungarian Grand Prix. The anniversary year offers a unique opportunity to examine the shared chapters in the motorsport history of Finland and Hungary.
The work presents all 40 Hungarian Formula 1 races held from 1986-2025 through extensive photographic material and highlights seven Finnish drivers who have raced at the Hungaroring and achieved significant success there:
• Keke Rosberg
• Jyrki Järvilehto
• Mika Häkkinen (wins 1999, 2000)
• Mika Salo
• Kimi Räikkönen (win 2005)
• Heikki Kovalainen (win 2008)
• Valtteri Bottas
The photo book takes the reader through decades with abundant photographic material. The images are complemented by concise texts and captions.
