Public Meeting: Katajanoka Harbour and Eastern Sörnäinen Harbour

Two detailed plan amendments are being initiated in Katajanoka: one concerns the eastern part of the South Harbour, namely the area around Katajanoka Quay, and the other the Katajanoka Harbour area.

The southern shore in the eastern part of Katajanoka South Harbour is being developed into a pleasant and diverse area for city residents. The goal is to create new maritime urban space that integrates the harbour and the expanding waterfront area more closely with the walkable city centre.

The detailed plan projects will be presented at a public meeting on 17.6.2026 from 16.30 to 18.00 at the City Hall Event Square (North Esplanade 11-13). City planners will be present, along with representatives from the Allas Pool project and Helsinki Ports.

Following the project presentations, discussion will continue at themed tables.
