Packer and Packer Pouch Sewing Workshop for Young Transmasculine People (13-17 years)
ilmainen
Want to make your own packer? Want to prevent your packer from slipping out of your pants? Interested in packing but haven't gotten a packer yet? Join us for a packer and packer pouch sewing workshop where you can sew your own packer or packer pouch from fabric.
No previous sewing experience is needed. The workshop provides ready-made patterns and sewing instructions for different styles and sizes of packers and pouches. Peer facilitators will help you choose a pattern that suits your body and skill level and will assist you during sewing. Sewing machines and necessary materials are available at the workshop. If you have fabric you like, you're welcome to bring it along.
The workshop is a great way to get free access to gender-affirming products and learn to sew them yourself. It's also a good place to meet peers in a safe environment while doing something fun. The workshop is aimed at 13-17-year-olds who are transmasculine or otherwise gender-diverse or questioning their gender, and who use packers or want to try packing. After 14:15 it is no longer possible to join the workshop. You can leave the workshop early if needed. The workshop accommodates a maximum of 10 people and those who arrive first will get a spot. The workshop operates on safer space principles.
Languages: Finnish, English, Russian (one of the facilitators can provide instruction in Russian)
