Classicism in Etu-Töölö - Architecture Walk
Hakasalmen huvila, Helsinki
13 €
This architecture walk focuses on Etu-Töölö, Finland's most significant residential area from the 1920s. The district uniquely combines a city plan designed according to medieval urban models with elegant buildings representing Nordic classicism. Key highlights of the tour include the area around Temppeliaukio, Oksasenkatu, Museokatu, and the so-called Sonck quarter between Runeberginkatu and Mechelininkatu. The true jewel of the walk is the Parliament House, the era's most important single building project. The route also passes art déco quarters on Välskärinkatu and ends at Töölö Church.
These walks are popular and many fill up quickly. We recommend purchasing your ticket in advance.
