Louhi Class European Championship: Dragon Europeans 2026 Helsinki
International top-level sailing takes over Helsinki's maritime centre as the prestigious Louhi class (Dragon) competes for the European championship in summer 2026.
Helsinki's beautiful archipelago provides a stage for one of sailing's most classic boat classes. The competition will attract around 70 boat teams and world-class sailors from across Europe. The historic Valkosaari (White Island) serves as the heart of the event, and the public can enjoy the competition atmosphere from close range.
Experience the competition atmosphere at Lyypekkakajen and Valkosaari:
The event's centre is the competition village at Lyypekkakajen in front of the Old Market Hall. There you can follow the races on screen, hear the latest news from the sea, and enjoy the maritime atmosphere. The competition's host island, Valkosaari (NJK), also welcomes visitors to discover the beautiful Louhi boats and competition events.
Both the competition village and Valkosaari have free entry.
