Guided tour of Kulttuuritalo in English

A guide from the Alvar Aalto Foundation leads visitors through the history of Kulttuuritalo during a one-hour tour in English. The tour covers the building's architecture, materials, and design process, as well as its political roots - Kulttuuritalo was built by Finland's Communist Party together with socialist organizations largely through volunteer work.

The building is considered the pinnacle of Aalto's red brick architecture, and the concert hall's stage has hosted artists including Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Lady Gaga.

Tours depart from Kulttuuritalo's main entrance. Tickets are not sold at the door.
