What is the deepest essence of jazz? A swinging rhythm under your feet? A feeling, a sound? There may be no single right answer to this question.

Jukka Perko PreBoppers approach these questions by playing traditional jazz and American classics as their own. In doing so, they show that jazz is joy, swing, shared exploration and above all the sharing of this with the audience.

About saxophonist Jukka Perko, one thing can be said with certainty: his undeniable ability to create musical experiences. Perko learned to play the same way he learned to speak - by listening and imitating.

He describes his approach to playing and composing as a balancing act between striving for better and accepting incompleteness.
