Business Information for Entrepreneurs

A webinar for those considering starting a business. The information session is held in English online via Teams and is free of charge.

The session covers different forms of entrepreneurship (light entrepreneurship, sole proprietorship, limited company) and practical matters: required permits and insurance, taxation and VAT, and why a business plan is worth preparing before company registration. The general section lasts approximately 45 minutes, followed by a question and answer session.

The information also includes a section on startup funding, where an expert from Helsinki's employment services explains who can apply for startup funding and on what terms. The total duration is approximately 1.5 hours. Note: do not begin main business activities until your support application has reached the employment authorities. After registration, you will receive a confirmation and Teams link via email the day before the event and again just before it starts - messages may sometimes end up in spam or Offers folder. The session is not recorded, but presentation materials are shared with participants.
